Salicylic Acid Peel
Salicylic Acid (C6H4(OH)COOH) is both a Phenolic Acid and a Beta Hydroxy Acid (BHA) in one! It’s double-acidic qualities make it particularly useful for the human body as different forms are used for everything from treating chicken pox to making Aspirin. The BHA quality of Sal Acid means that unlike AHAs (Alpha Hydroxy Acids), it can penetrate and break down fat tissue leaving the skin smooth. This is why many skincare products include Sal Acid, including many oily-skin shampoos and body washes. Biochemically, Salicylic Acid works as a keratolytic, bacteriocide and comedolytic. How does it work?
Salicylic Acid gets rid of surplus sebum, bacteria and inflammation from deep inside the pores of the skin. This Salicylic Acid peel attacks the systematic core causes of skin problems, specifically acne. It also fights fungas and yeast. Overall the Salicylic Acid peel improves skin texture, tone, clearness and quality.

Cycles: Salicylic Acid peels are most effective when used regularly. Most people conduct 10 to 15 cycles of Salicylic Acid peels before working up into a monthly or bi-weekly regiment or before using higher concentrations of the acid.
